Mace Engineering has been manufacturing exceptionally high quality compact cast runners and turbine assemblies since 2000. Our service includes: design, build, deliver and through life maintenance and service. Third parties are engaged for civil and electrical generation aspects of projects.  

Products include:
Kaplan, Francis and Pelton Turbines
Wicket gates (guide vanes), seals and flanges. We have made runners from 90Kw for run of river applications to, in 2010, manufacturing a replacement 28MW Francis runner. 

Products are manufactured in either stainless steel or Bronze depending on the customer preference.

Mace Engineering has had a significant role in refurbishing large turbines and ancilliary items at Manapouri, Benmore and Tekapo Power Stations. Where previuosly most of the work was done in our workshop, we now have on-site machining centres and can offer a cost effective on-site service.
