MACE MANIFOLD PLENUM SPACER KIT TO SUIT NISSAN VQ35DE 3.5L V6

Our plenum spacer sits between the plenum and plenum cover. Its main purpose is to improve air distribution between cylinders by slowing down the air speed inside the plenum chamber. As a result, there is less of a pressure drop inside the plenum chamber between cylinders and less air momentum. This, in turn, feeds each intake runner more evenly improving throttle response and bottom end torque.

The change in airflow characteristics is shown in the diagram below.

Not only will our spacer help you make more power, it will also reduce air-fuel ratio variance between cylinders due to improved air distribution between cylinders. This is particularly important with engines running an aggressive tune or in boosted setups, as it reduces the likelihood of detonation.

As it is also manufactured from the same thermal resistant material as our manifold insulators, further horsepower gains and more consistent power output is achieved due to the reduction in air temperature.

Notes:

• Installation is very straight forward, only requiring the removal of the plenum cover to install the plenum spacer.
• The 8mm spacer is generally suited for vehicles running a factory or aftermarket strut brace. The 12mm spacer will have clearances issues with these setups. Due to variances between vehicles, it is important to check the clearance between the plenum and the strut brace before purchasing.
