Stage 2 Kit: Improved mid-range power
We recommend this kit be used in conjunction with at least a 2.5” twin cat exhaust for maximum performance. This package provides a maximum power gain of 20% between 1900 and 5000rpm. This increase has been achieved without sacrificing any noticeable low-end torque or drivability. This kit can also be ADR compliant.

Stage 3 Kit: Improved top end power
This camshaft kit must be used in conjunction with a full free-flowing exhaust system. Minor head work is optional for maximum performance. It provides a power gain of 35% between 2400 and 5500rpm. Despite the excellent high-performance characteristics of this package, the engine remains tractable and responsive at low speed while adopting that old-school choppy idle. A standard torque converter can be used on automatic-equipped vehicles but we recommend a 2000rpm stall converter to enhance acceleration.

Memcals in these packages are calibrated by Mace and we have strict guidelines in terms of what modifications our memcals support. Your setup's compatibility will be determined on the basis of the filled out application form. Our memcals will not be compatible with stroker kits or forced induction. For these cases it is recommended that the vehicle gets a custom dyno tune to ensure it is safe.
Genuine broadcast memcal number (4 letter code on sticker attached to factory fitted memcal) will be required in most cases to confirm the operating system.
Pushrod length will require checking if heads have been skimmed or block has been decked.
We recommend dialing in all aftermarket cams using a degree wheel to ensure that they’re phased correctly with the crankshaft. You can do this by using our 8" or 11" degree wheel listed in other ads.
Gasket kits to suit this engine can be purchased through other listings.
Performance based cam for standard engines. Provides good mid-range power tailored for spirited street enthusiasts. A full exhaust system, cold air intake, valvetrain upgrade and tune post installation is recommended with this cam. Expect gains of 18-25kW depending on your car's current configuration.
Stage 3 - CAM650
Performance street/strip cam for modified engines. This cam was designed to squeeze the most out of your 3800cc Buick V6. To make full use of this cams capability, we recommend a light head work, a full exhaust system, cold air intake, valvetrain upgrade and tune post installation. Expect gains of 20-30kW depending on your car's current configuration.

Removing the timing cover may upset the sump gasket depending on certain models. We stock cork and metal sump gaskets if yours cannot be re-used.
Due to extended exposure to high temperatures, it is very common for the valve cover gaskets on any motor to eventually become brittle and break, especially on the Holden V8. If the problem is left unattended, the engine bay ends up looking like a mess, worst case, engine damage will result due to oil loss. This replacement pair of paper rocker cover gaskets perfectly seals the covers to the cylinder heads and meets all OEM specifications. These gaskets have been manufactured from high-grade automotive materials to ensure trouble-free motoring for all applications.

Notes:
VL-VR EFi 5.0L V8s use paper rocker cover gaskets while VS-VT EFi 5.0L V8s use a moulded rubber rocker cover gasket. Unfortunately the cylinder head castings are different with the earlier cylinder head having a wider rocker cover rail. This wider rail does not allow the later rubber type gasket to fit snugly onto the cylinder head and causes the gasket to bulge out of place. This bulging can cause the gasket to be pinched when fitting the rocker cover in place and result in improper sealing.
Later model gaskets can be purchased through another ad.
