Bump up the performance of your late model Commodore by installing an LS1 throttle body onto your V6 in order to substantially increase airflow.

Upgrading to a larger throttle body, allows supercharged V6 or Ecotec owners to port their elbow or inlet manifold respectively for even greater gains.

This product is also perfect for the utmost of modifications such as porting of the supercharger itself, which would not achieve anywhere near the maximum potential power of a ported elbow and LS1 throttle body combo.

Made from the same heat blocking composite material as our thermal insulating manifold spacers, this adapter will eliminate heat soak from the intake manifold to your throttle body and intake ducting therefore keeping the entire intake system cooler.

 

Note: The LS1 throttle linkage isn't compatible with the Ecotec/L67 cable. To resolve this issue you can cut the LS1 throttle linkage off and weld on an Ecotec/L67 one.

WHAT

We work with a number of experienced engine tuners from around Australia to recalibrate the genuine Holden
MEMCALs that store your Commodore'€™s tune. This means that there'€™s no dodgy soldering or modification
to the physical unit, so you can be sure of what you're fitting to your pride and joy.

Each MEMCAL is recalibrated to suit your specific engine and gearbox type, as well as the model of Commodore you own.

Horsepower gains vary between different models and the condition of your particular engine. Our estimate is
a gain of about 8 to 12kW using standard 91-RON fuel, with an extra 2% using premium fuel.

Fuel economy gains will also vary between different models and the condition of your engine. Our conservative
estimate is an extra 40 to 50kms (V6) to the tank, but we would expect up to 100kms extra in some models.

The bottom line is that you WILL experience a fuel saving with our performance MEMCAL; even in a stock standard, unmodified Commodore.

Since the release of the Holden Ecotec V6, we have built up an extensive library of tunes to accommodate a variety of builds and configurations with exceptional results. Each project that we receive is carefully analyzed based on the custom tune form, the customer is required to fill out after making the purchase. Once we have verified that the information provided complies with our tuning capabilities, a specific tune file is selected and slightly tweaked to tailor it to the vehicles current setup. This alleviates all the compromises that were made by Holden in the engine calibration during mass production.

We can cater for most modifications, ranging from a simple cold air intake all the way through to a camshaft upgrade or L67 conversion which will yield improvements such as; refined fuel economy, smoother power delivery, greater throttle response and of course an increase in all out power and torque.

If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission, the settings are revamped to provide firmer gear shifts by increasing the line pressures which render the gearbox more reliable in the long term. Other features like adjusting the fan enable temps can also be made.

Power output will differ from model to model however, in a fair comparison we usually see at least an 8kw gain at the rear wheels in an absolutely stock vehicle, meaning the more modifications that have been made, the higher the final power figure will be.
Fitment is simple, handled by even the most inexperienced DIY enthusiast in around 10-minutes with only basic tools. The factory ECU is located behind the kick-panel of the passenger side foot-well. The battery should be disconnected during the entire switch-over procedure.

Head bolts play a vital role in the sealing of the combustion chamber, oil/coolant channels and ambient air. Therefore, we recommend our Mahle cylinder head bolt set for the task. Having met and exceeded OEM specifications, these quality bolts are suited for standard and mildly modified applications. These are torque-to-yield (TTY) bolts which means they are designed to be tightened past their elastic limit, guaranteeing high and uniform clamping forces. Other benefits include pre-applied sealant to the threads eliminating the use of thread locker and no-retorquing is necessary after correct installation procedures have been followed.
