Head bolts play a vital role in the sealing of the combustion chamber, oil/coolant channels and ambient air. Therefore, we recommend our Platinum cylinder head bolt set for the task. Having met and exceeded OEM specifications, these quality bolts are suited for standard and mildly modified applications. These are torque-to-yield (TTY) bolts which means they are designed to be tightened past their elastic limit, guaranteeing high and uniform clamping forces.

  • 10 X Short cylinder head bolt (M8 x 1.25 x 45)
  • 20 X Long cylinder head bolt (M11 x 2.00 x 100)

Notes:

  • Head bolts for LS1 till 09/2003 can be purchased through another listing.

  • When torquing up bolts, an accurate torque wrench or angle gauge will be required to achieve correct clamping forces.
  • Please follow the torque specifications as recommended by the service manual.
  • TTY bolts are only to be utilized once due to permanent elongation and safety concerns.
