These Crow Cams performance retainers are machined to exacting specifications so proper fit and guide clearance is achieved. They are made from "thru-hardened" 4140 chrome-moly steel and have been machined to give an extra 0.030" clearance to the valve stem seal. These precision retainers are specifically designed for positive location when combined with Crow Cams high-quality valve springs.
