This VCM Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor is a significant component for the installation of a MAF-less air intake setup. This sensor monitors the temperature of the air entering the engine which in turn helps the engine's computer (PCM) to maintain the balance of air/fuel mixture for optimal engine performance.

This suits a range of Commodores and similar platforms fitted with LS1 L76 L77 L98 LS3 5.7L 6.0L 6.2L V8 engine.
